Voices of the Faithful Book 2

I’ve been reading this book for awhile now.  It takes a while to get through it, 365 days to be exact if you read it as a devotion book like it is set up.  This book is jam packed with stories of inspiration and motivation from Christians serving around the world.

The layout of this book is set up where you can read every day of the year.  Each day Scripture starts off whispering into your heart before you read the accounts of courage and hope from people serving in literally the very ends of the earth.  The daily account ends with a prayer by the author, prayers that inspire you to increase your prayer life, motivate you to seek Jesus full throttle and leave you feeling as if you know the very depths of the writer’s heart.

What I like about this book mostly is that it’s easy to pick up during the day, read to my children, pray for a fellow serving Christian and be inspired to live relentlessly for Jesus in our corner of the world.  It’s great for geography too, we always check the map to see where these accounts are taking place across the globe.

One thing I’ve noticed as well is the creative, personal prayers of his people.  Children need to learn to get beyond the “thank you for this day, help us have a good day,” these prayers inspire us to seek the heart of Jesus and let him teach us how to pray.  These prayers tend to be short, but so rich and humble in their pleas.

If you are interested in the 365 day set up but are looking for something to speak volumes into your family, I would grab a copy.
